Day 2 Eve Genesis 2:18-3:24

Nobody takes responsibility for their actions. Everyone points the finger at someone else. The problem is that God knows everyone’s guilt an there is not hiding from God. Covering up sin does not hide it from God, it only gives it a chance to fester in your soul and to affect you. Only by exposing it to the light, can you allow God to deal with it and to heal you. Of course, you will have to face the consequences of your actions. God doesn’t wave a magic wand making everything alright.

In the end, we have two alternatives and only two:

  1. Hide the sin, ignore the sin, justify the sin, etc. In the end, this option is to let sin remain in our lives and try to manage it ourselves. The ultimate consequence of this is death, spiritual necrosis. We will continue to die in this choice, slowly decaying the spirit eventually affecting every area of our life: emotional, social, physical, mental.
  2. Confess and repent. Expose the sin to the grace of God who can forgive us, heal us, and set us free. When sin entered into humanity in the Garden of Eden, it was the inevitability of our free will. Yet, God acted through history to provide an avenue back to him. The curse is still upon us, but the grace of God, provided through the cross, is our avenue back into relationship with our maker. God requires that we open our hearts to him, expose the sin, and let him deal with it. We must trust that He knows best how to deal.
