Party, Party

Scott’s coming home tomorrow! WOOHOO!

Today has been a fun day. We attended two parties. My day started with Timothy and Zachary coming in to the bedroom and informing me that they did not throw up last night. This was good news, as they had both told me that their tummies felt funny when they went to bed last ngiht. I was pretty sure they were fine, but I had humored them and had set a trash can by each of their beds and made sure the monitor was set up in their bedroom.

Since I was awake, I got up, put some cinnamon rolls in the oven, and grabbed a quick shower. By the time the cinnamon rolls were done, Emily was up. After breakfast, we wrapped presents and all the kids took baths. We had just enough time for Emily to make birthday cards for the parties we were going to be attending before we headed out. We made a quick stop at Hasting’s to return yesterday’s movies and were on our way to Plainview.

The trip was uneventful. Zachary got a little nap, and we made it to Plainview in town for lunch. We went to the Cotton Patch, where Timothy and Zachary kept telling me that their food was “delicious.” Then, a quick trip to Wal-Mart and it was party time. We made it back to the house with just a few minutes left to hang up some decorations before the other guests began arriving. Emily was delighted to see her two best friends from Plainview and some other friends that she hadn’t seen in a while. She even made some new friends. We all had a great time!

We left the party about a half hour early so we could make it the next party. It was back in Lubbock. About halfway back, Zachary informed me that we needed to find a bathroom. He had really good timing, as we were coming up on the exit to a rest stop. About 10 minutes later, we were back on the road and we arrived at the party about 10 minutes late. This party was at the fun maze of Bodyworks. It had a HUGE slide similar to what you’d find at the playland at McDonald’s (only a lot bigger), a smaller slide, and a pretend kitchen set and other toys. Several of Zachary’s friends from school were there, so he quickly got into the fun. Emily was delighted to find that two of the kids had older sisters her age. They all go to different schools, but have made plans to meet up on Webkinz. They’ll be at the party we’re going to tomorrow, so I am sure the planning will continue. Poor Timothy didn’t find anyone his age. Zachary played with him for a bit, and Timothy even convinced me to go through the maze with him once. Then, we had pizza and cookies followed by face painting (I’ll get some pictures loaded soon)!

After the party, we headed back to Hasting’s to pick up one more night of movies. Then, we came home to watch 101 Dalmations, fold clothes, and head to bed.

Tomorrow, we have one more party and Scott will be coming home. We’ve have a good weekend, but I am so ready to have him home again.
